Generals Set Up Military Mutual Insurance
Senior military figures and veterans have joined forces to set up a new insurance company aimed at service personnel.
The Military Mutual aims to provide relevant cover for those who deploy abroad, or live in barracks.
It'll cover areas such as personal accident claims, kit and car insurance and profits will go back into the company to help keep premiums down.
The Military Mutual, which will start offering motor and home insurance, is chaired by Sir Sebastian Roberts, a retired major general who oversaw Prince William's training for the Household Cavalry.
The company will be the first to focus on the 20m people in Britain who serve or who have served in the military, or are related to them.
"Insurance policies from the big insurers are not suitable for our servicemen and women because their postcodes change so often, says Military Mutual"
