HMS Heroes: School Children Get A Taste Of Army Life
It's not every day there's a chance to skip class for a drill lesson, but that's exactly what happened when a group of school children were invited to visit 29 Commando Royal Artillery.
It's a new initiative that's part of the Armed Forces Community Covenant.
HMS Heroes is a unique student voice group formed in the City of Plymouth for the support of Service children and young people.
Members of HMS Heroes are ambassadors and young advocates for Service families. Most importantly, they are friends for each other, especially in times of need.
