How The Navy Teaches The Pecking Order

The Ministry of Defence has reproduced a guide on ranks among the services amid complaints that some members are confused about who they should salute and when.
 
It follows reports that the problem has become more apparent with an increasing number of joint operations taking place where the Army, Royal Navy and RAF serve alongside each other.
 
Forces TV reporter Rebecca Ricks visited HMS Raleigh in Cornwall, the Royal Navy's basic training establishment, to find out how the phase one recruits there are taught the pecking order.
