JOAX: How To Drop A Humvee Out Of A Plane

At dusk this evening, thousands of soldiers will leap from aeroplanes in the largest US/UK joint exercise for 20 years – JOAX the Joint Operational Access Exercise.

Before the main 'Forcible Entry' event, trial jumps involving some 500 troops and their equipment have been taking place in the skies of North Carolina.

As part of these preparations, the footage you see above is of a practice drop showing a US Army Humvee being released from the rear of an American C-130 transporter plane.
