Joint Forcible Entry: The Battle Begins

Having parachuted to the ground in a mass simultaneous jump some 2100 paratroopers from the British 16 Air Assault Brigade and US 82nd Airborne are now fighting their way through the North Carolinan wilderness.

The Joint Operational Access Exercise (JOAX), code-named 'Forcible Entry', is continuing at Fort Bragg.

Supported by Black Hawk and Chinook helicopters the men hit the ground running, consolidating their territory and pushing on into enemy lines.

Amid the gunfire Forces TV's Tim Cooper sent this report.
