Mediterranean Migrants Arrive In Sicily

More than 25,000 migrants have arrived on Sicily since the beginning of 2015.

Six hundred of them rescued by the Royal Navy flagship HMS Bulwark, which is leading Britain's contribution. But while she's in Port Palermo refuelling, the Italian Navy are out in the Mediterranean doing the same job.

Yesterday one of its ships rescued two hundred and eighty-nine migrants at sea before delivering them safely to Port Augusta. One man sadly didn't make the journey and died before the Navy arrived.
