NATO Exercise Rapid Reaction Force

A new NATO fast reaction task force, established in the wake of Russia’s annexation of Crimea and the Ukraine conflict, has embarked on its maiden training exercise.

The multi-national Very High Readiness Joint Task Force is also called the Spearhead and will include 5,000 troops ready to move in 48 hours.

And that rapid deployment capability has now been put to the test in the Czech Republic and at Eindhoven in the Netherlands.
