"New NATO Units Will Combat Threats Against Member States"
NATO's Deputy Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, General Sir Adrian Bradshaw, says the alliance will install new units to respond to potential threats against member states in eastern Europe.
Speaking in London earlier this week, he said the "intervention units" would "send a strong message" and help support Eastern members in an era of "constant competition" with Russia.
His speech was part of a drive to raise awareness of the priorities for the next Strategic Defence and Security Review, which is due after the general election.
