PoW Families Call For More Awareness Ahead Of VJ Day

Families of men held captive by the Japanese in World War Two are calling for greater recognition of their sacrifice.
 
The war in Japan finished three months after the war in Europe
A nationwide VJ Day commemoration will be held on 15th August to mark the end of the war in Japan 70 years ago.
 
However, families of the prisoners are calling for more to be done to raise awareness of how their loved ones suffered.
