Prince Harry And Michelle Obama In Military Push
The US First Lady has arrived in the UK to begin a European tour.
While a meeting with the Prime Minister is top of the agenda one of the most eagerly anticipated appointments for Michelle Obama and her daughters will no doubt be their scheduled stop with Prince Harry.
It's not the first time the Prince will have met members of America's first family. Harry and Michelle attended a tea for military mothers in the US several years ago.
Chatting together on that occasion the pair's shared interest in the welfare of military families emerged.
According to Mrs Obama's chief of staff "He was wonderful and it was wonderful to have him here. And we hear from his staff that he is happy to return the favour."
Mrs Obama is leading the Joining Forces campaign which "works hand in hand with the public and private sectors to ensure that service members, veterans and their families have the tools they need to succeed throughout their lives".
Upon arriving at Stansted Mrs Obama, her daughters and her mother were met by the US military families serving in the UK.
On Thursday the party flies on to Italy where again the First Lady will spend some time with the families of US troops based in Europe.
Mrs Obama's visit to Europe comes as the US confirms plans to send an armoured brigade back to Germany.
Two years after America pulled all of its tanks out of the region it's attempting to reassure NATO allies amid the worsening crisis in Ukraine.
