RAF Aircraft Continue to Attack IS Positions In Iraq

The Ministry of Defence has given its latest update on the progress made by its aircraft in the fight against Islamic State in Iraq.

RAF Tornados, based in Cyprus, have been flying missions in support of Iraqi ground troops as they battle to retake territory west of Baghdad.

The MOD says the jets launched Paveway-guided bombs into buildings being used by Islamic State fighters, whilst Reaper drones have also been used to attack targets, as well as for surveillance purposes.
