RAF Troops Assist With Nepal Relief Effort

RAF personnel and US troops are on their way out to Nepal to assist with the relief effort in the earthquake-hit country. Three Chinook helicopters are expected to arrive in the next two days after leaving RAF Brize Norton to be reassembled in India.

The European Union has approved €20 million in financial support and emergency aid to help Nepal deal with the disaster, which has now claimed at least 7,200 lives and shattered the country's economy.

Meanwhile, Paul Mattin, a former Royal Marine, has been raising funds and awareness by taking part in a charity walk from Devon to the Nepalese embassy in London
