Reservist Doctor Brings "Flying Blood" to North East
"Flying blood" has come to the North of England for the first time this week - thanks to techniques honed on the battlefields of Afghanistan.
From now on, fresh blood supplies will be delivered to the Great North Air Ambulance on a daily basis, and carried on board so it can be used to treat critically ill patients at the scene.
Forces TV's North East reporter Hannah King reports.
