Russian Military 'Disneyland' Due To Open In June

The ‘Patriot’ military amusement park opens its doors in mid-June.

With it comes the opportunity to test sophisticated military simulators used for drilling T-90 tank crews and KA-52 Alligator attack helicopter pilots, except this time, you're in the driving seat. The military equivalent of Disneyland has arrived.

Billed as an attraction for all audiences, military training equipment from the basic to the cutting-edge will be made accessible for use across generations.

Kids and adults alike are given the chance to test out state-of-the-art equipment

Initially, there will be 10 simulators at the park. Among the trickiest to handle will be the tank simulator, which provides an immersive experience. As well as recreating in vivid detail the high-tech interior of the T-90 and T-72 tank cabins, it also gives the ‘driver’ a multi-faceted experience of driving over certain terrain, while the cabin tilts and shakes accordingly.

Among the simulators there’s even one for the ‘Shmel’ (Bumblebee) rocket-propelled anti-personnel flame thrower. Here's one in action...
