Scottish Schoolteacher Sang Carols Between the Trenches

The story of the 1914 Christmas truce where British and German soldiers stopped fighting and swapped gifts or played football is well-known. 
 
 
But the role played by a Scottish schoolteacher has been overshadowed by events, and has now been remembered by his former school.
