Should Soldiers Have Their Sperm Frozen?
A former soldier is calling for the government to do more to protect the fertility of troops on the front line. Sgt Rick Clements, of the 1st Battalion the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment, lost his ability to have children when he stepped on an IED.
It happened on his first tour of duty in Afghanistan in 2010 making him one of Britain’s most wounded veterans. Now he wants funding for soldiers to have their sperm frozen, before they go on deployment. Our Welfare Reporter Victoria Smith spoke to him.
