Triumphant Homecoming For GB Paralympians
Rio was a great success for Great Britain’s Paralympians, coming in second in the medal count behind China.
Forces TV went to meet them as they were arriving back in the UK.
They won a total of 147 medals, 64 of them golds, making this their most successful games since 1988.
In the process, they set 49 Paralympic and 27 world records.
Cyclist Jon-Allan Butterworth made history in Rio becoming the first British serviceman injured in Iraq to win gold at the Paralympics.

Dame Sarah Storey won her 14th Paralympic gold, making her Britain’s most decorated female paralympian.
Supporters who were at Rio’s Paralympic Games were not disappointed.

Parades will take place mid-October in Manchester and in London, to celebrate both our Paralympic and Olympic athletes.
