UK-Based Company Could Provide Kit For Thousands of US Troops

A pair of British-based inventors could see their power-pack combat vest become standard-issue kit for thousands of US troops.

Textile designer Asha Thompson has been developing the battery-powered vest since 2008 with electronics expert and business partner Stan Swallow.

And the US Military have now provided funding for six prototypes, with a possible order for thousands more.
