UK to Send up to 70 Troops to Train Nigerian Army

Britain is to send up to 70 troops to Nigeria to help train the country’s army in its fight against Boko Haram.

It comes after Cameroon's military announced the release of around 30 hostages, after Islamist fighters kidnapped over 60 people from villages in the country over the weekend.

Only last week the nation's President Paul Biya called for international help to fight the terrorists.

Simon Newton reports.
