"Unprecedented Levels Of Looting And Destruction Funding IS"

The so-called "full spectrum" approach to tackling Islamic State includes understanding how it's being funded, including the looting of heritage sites across Iraq and Syria.

The Director-General of UNESCO, Irina Bokova, has been telling experts at the Royal United Services Institute in London about the unprecedented destruction taking place, calling for full international action.

It comes after the extremist group released a video in April showing the purported destruction of the ancient city of Nimrud.
