Urgent Call To Allow More Refugees Into Britain

Pressure is growing on David Cameron to allow more refugees into Britain.

Calls have grown across the political spectrum after newspapers published pictures of a drowned young boy, washed up on a beach in Turkey.

Two former soldiers, who became Conservative MPs at the election, are among those who are calling for Britain to do more.

Johnny Mercer MP, who served in Afghanistan, said:

"Mothers trying to keep their children afloat on life jackets should not think of the UK as a place that did not welcome them."

Kate Gerbeau spoke to Forces TV reporter James Hirst and asked him whether this a turning point in the debate.
