"US Abandoning Plans to Cut Number of Forces in Afghanistan"

The Obama administration is abandoning plans to cut the number of US forces in Afghanistan to 5,500 by the end of the year, according to officials.
 
It's thought American military leaders want to keep more troops in the country into the 2016 fighting season.
