US Military Has "Direct Involvement" In UK Defence Review

It has emerged the US government is directly involved in Britain’s defence review.

Speaking at the London think-tank Chatham House, Defence Secretary Michael Fallon made the surprise announcement in front of academics regarding US and UK naval co-operation.

The Chief of Operations of the US Navy was in audience when Mr Fallon conceded:

"Our second [Strategic Defence and Security] Review is now underway, with [sic] direct American defence involvement in the process has now begun."

But how, why, and in what way is the US military shaping British defence policy? Will Inglis examines the facts.
