World Leaders Step Up Ukraine Peace Efforts
The German Chancellor Angela Merkel is in Washington to brief the US President on a peace plan to end fighting in eastern Ukraine.
Germany and France have been trying to reach a deal with Ukraine and Russia amid new fighting between pro-Russia rebels and Ukrainian government troops.
The talks come as the US considers sending weapons to Ukaine's troops - a move opposed by the German Chancellor.
