Army Thrash RAF In Ice Hockey Inter Services Championships

The Army Ice Hockey team are on course for a record-setting seventh successive Inter Services title.

They thrashed the RAF team 18-1 in Sheffield to start their tournament with a win.

It was the second night that the RAF suffered a heavy loss after losing to the Navy 11-3 in the first game.

They led 5-0 by the end of period 1 before adding 8 goals in the second period.

The RAF’s only score came from a penalty goal from their captain Richard Gray, but a 13-1 scoreline with just a period to go meant the game was already over.

Timo Lindgren and Josh Moreley, who was awarded man-of-the-match, helped the Army to five more goals to confirm the 18-1 demolition.

The results have set up the Army vs. Navy as a deciding game in match three.
