Soldier triumphs at European Long Distance Triathlon championships
A British Army soldier has won gold at the 2023 European Long Distance Triathlon championships in the Netherlands.
Staff Sergeant Harry Pickering from the Royal Logistic Corps beat Dutch runner Steff Overmars to take the male 35-39 race in the city of Almere.
SSgt Pickering competed in the World Championships in Ibiza and finished in 15th, but now in the Netherlands he has been crowned European champion.
