A number of first-time boxers in the British Army and Royal Navy have taken to the ring during HMS Sultan's Boxing Dinner Show.

NavyFit said a Royal Navy team made up of boxers from HMS Sultan, HMS Collingwood, HMS Dauntless and HMS Nelson took on a British Army side featuring boxers from the Corps of Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and MOD Lyneham.

Twelve bouts were on the card, including two all-female fights as Able Seaman Niamh Tur from HMS Nelson was beaten by Lauren Brown (from guest team Brighton ABC), while Craftsman Emma Hutton from the REME defeated HMS Collingwood's Louise Downing.

The main event, described as the "fight of the night " by the organisers, was a heavyweight contest between Able Seaman Fraser Scott from HMS Sultan and Trooper Alfie Rolandsen from the King's Royal Hussars.

AB Scott was not able to secure the win in front of his home crowd as the Army soldier had his arm raised in victory.
