Female team of Royal Navy sailors spotted from space while taking on Atlantic Row

An all-women's Royal Navy ocean rowing team has been spotted from space while attempting to cross the Atlantic Ocean by rowing boat.
HMS Oardacious Valkyries, currently making their way from the Canary Islands to Antigua, shared a picture of the boat taken by Maxar Technologies, one of the team's sponsors.
A post on the team's X account said they were "delighted to officially announce" the satellite specialists as their new sponsor and shared a picture of "the HMS Oardacious Valkyries mid-ocean… from space".
And the team also received a "surreal" shoutout for their attempted crossing.
Also on X, the team shared a good luck message from Sheli McCoy, aka Sabre, from the hit BBC One show Gladiators.
"The team have received so much love and support over the course of this project, but a Happy New Year message from Sheli McCoy, aka 'Sabre' from the Gladiators might be the most surreal," the team said in a post on X.
"The eyes of [the] world (and of actual Gladiators) are upon you team – ROW STRONG."
HMS Oardacious Valkyries are not the only team taking on the challenge, with Team V3NTURE, made up of personnel from the Welsh Guards, Rifles and Royal Artillery, sharing a post to say they had reached the halfway point of their journey.
In a video posted on X, the team showed they marked the milestone by singing the lyric of 'we're halfway there' - from Bon Jovi's hit song Livin' On A Prayer.
The team also enjoyed a Terry's Chocolate Orange as a way of celebrating the completion of the first half of their journey.
