RAF Brize Norton have won military hockey's Tri Service Cup after an entertaining final at RAF Halton.

They beat defending champions, 8 Training Battalion REME 7-4 at RAF Halton.

Brize beat HMS Heron 8-4 in the first of three matches.

8 Bn REME then beat HMS Heron 8-0 to set up the decider.

Brize's Captain Warrant Officer Steve Keating told BFBS: "Limited numbers for the team, lots of people out because of the change of dates.

"Fortunately we had some subs, we stuck together, played well as a team, I thought we kept possession and did what we needed to do."
