RAF's Liam Sanford included in Great Britain hockey squad for deciding Olympic qualifier

Air Specialist Class 1 Liam Sanford has been selected as part of the Great Britain hockey squad for their final Olympic qualifiers in Oman.

The RAF player has previously represented GB at the World Cup in India and achieved his dream of appearing at the Olympics in Tokyo in 2021.

Great Britain face off against Pakistan on 15 January before tackling a Malaysian challenge a day later.

The latest round of qualifiers culminates with Great Britain's clash with China on 18 January, with only a top three finish needed for GB to qualify for this summer’s Paris Olympics.
