Shootout success for British Army Blades ice hockey team against Royal Navy Destroyers

Watch: Highlights of the British Army Blades v Royal Navy Destroyers match

The British Army Blades have won a tense penalty shootout against the Royal Navy Destroyers in the Inter Services ice hockey championships.

The match ended 2-2 in Sheffield with the Navy nearly pulling off an impressive win against the reigning champions.

However, Harry McBride's impressive double helped the Army back into it.

Earlier in the game, Will Stennett and Scott Crane shockingly put the Navy 2-0 up, and Crane's missed penalty shot in the third period proved important.

Josh Nertney delivered the decisive penalty for the Army who will play the RAF in the grand final to determine the title winners.
