Defence Secretary recognises importance of Invictus Games during visit to The Hague

The Defence Secretary Ben Wallace has been visiting competitors at the Invictus Games The Hague.

During his visit, he spoke to Forces News about the importance of the Invictus programme for veterans who are in recovery.

"It's as much about recovery as it is about competition." he said.

"Things like the Invictus Games show a long-term investment to commitment in the very people that make our Armed Forces.

"They are the most important equipment we have - the men and women in our Armed Forces.

"Invictus is about showing commitment before, during and after service."
