British Army Alpine skier returns from injury to top Super Combined podium
A British Army Alpine skier is celebrating a hard-fought win in the Super Combined, just twelve months on from breaking her heel on the slopes of Meribel.
Sapper Lizzie Knox saw her 2024 championships ruined by the injury but is a winner a year later.
She won the Super G race, which is added to a slalom run to make up the Super Combined, and was joined on the podium by RAF pair Air Specialist (Class 1) Georgina Davis (2nd) and Squadron Leader Claire Nixon (3rd).

The men's competition saw Flying Officer Ollie Weeks make the jump to the top of the podium after finishing as runner-up in the Alpine Downhill earlier this week.
Lieutenant Brett Wild (2nd) from the Royal Navy and Captain Rob van Beck (3rd) from the British Army rounded out the top three for the Super Combined.
It was disappointment for Flying Officer Jed McNab who was in second after the Super G but fell out of contention with the slalom run.
