Meribel 2022: Dramatic dead heat decides Snowboard Slalom event

A dramatic Snowboard Slalom event capped off an entertaining day two of the Inter Services Snow Sports Championships in Meribel.

In the Parallel Giant Slalom, a dead heat meant it was Army riders Sven Benevides and David Grant ultimately sharing the golden spoils.

In the women's race, Aaby Aldridge took the title and gained some retribution for missing out on the podium in the Snowboard Cross event on Monday.

Earlier in the day, the telemarkers started their Meribel 2022 campaign in the Giant Slalom.

The Army's Stefan Hurst won ahead of Navy man Steven Farrant and another Army athlete Danny Johnson, who came in third.

The Telemark Classic event, a highlight of previous tournaments, was supposed to happen on Day 3 but has been postponed.
