Snowboarders provide thrilling action in floodlit Parallel Giant Slalom races

Watch: Thrilling finals on the slope under the floodlights

A thrilling Snowboard Parallel Giant Slalom event closed out Day Two at Meribel 2024 in the French Alps.

An all-Royal Navy women's final saw Able Seaman Cara Jones beat Lieutenant Hana Rabuzin over two heats to end what she called a "fun" experience with the gold medal.

In the men's final, the Army's Staff Sergeant Dave Grant battled Corporal Sam Brown from the RAF.

A slip from Cpl Brown in the first heat gave SSgt Grant a healthy lead â€“ and despite a photo finish in heat two, it was the soldier who took the gold medal.

Attention on Day Three turns to the Alpine skiers who will be competing in the Alpine Combined event which is being shown live on the Forces News YouTube channel from 3:45pm.
