RAF Sport To Resume 'As And When' Possible
The Royal Air Force's Deputy Director of Sport says they are looking to restart sporting action as soon as possible.
All sport in the RAF has been postponed until further notice on due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Rich Fogden says he is keen to get back to the sporting season and stressed the importance of competitive sport.
"We seek to restart sport as and when we can, but we are understanding that there are more important issues right now that we are addressing," he said.
"Also, we are understanding of the importance of competitive sport in building physical, mental, individual and collective resilience as we go forward.
"It’s massively important.
"I think there will be a fair bit of pent-up energy waiting to get back on the field of play in all our 49 associations."

The Deputy Director also gave an update of how elite sporting athletes in the RAF are dealing with the break.
"We as the headquarters for RAF Sport stand ready to support the elites wherever we can," he said.
"We’ve been in contact with them as I’m sure their chains of command have.
"Predominately, we leave them with their national government body or their professional clubs depending on the circumstances.
"We’ve asked them what are they doing to keep themselves fit in compliance with government guidelines.
"They have their training programmes and some of them will have facilities provided in their homes and accommodations."
