Rugby Union: UKAF women dominate 'le crunch' clash
The UK Armed Forces women's rugby union team were victorious in their 'Le Crunch' clash in Portsmouth.
They beat the French Forces 27-14 at Burnaby Road.
RAF and Harlequins player Amy Cokayne scored a hat-trick as UKAF's powerful scrum blew the French away on the South Coast.
UKAF took the lead when Cokayne drove over the line for a converted try but the French hit back immediately.
Adeline Carrasquet got on the end of a neat kick to level the scores at 7-7.
Sarah Graham could have put UKAF back in front with a penalty from a good position but she sent her kick wide of the posts.
It didn't matter, though, as UKAF and Cokayne wouldn't be stopped.
Watch: See how UKAF prepared for the fixture in Portsmouth.
First, Fionidi Parker's superb mazy run allowed her to gallop over the try line as UKAF led 12-7 at the break.
From there, Cokayne took over as she scored twice more to give UKAF a commanding lead in front of a triumphant home crowd.
Debutant Sally Stott also got on the scoresheet and UKAF were ready to end their run of bad form that goes back to 2015.
Lea Shaurly grabbed a late consolation converted try for the French but the home side stood firm to hold on to a good win.
