Back on the podium: Forces personnel impress at Bobsleigh World Cup in Lillehammer

A good weekend from two Royal Marines at the Bobsleigh World Cup in Lillehammer was capped off by a bronze medal in the four-man race for Marine Taylor Lawrence.
The team which includes Mne Lawrence, pilot Brad Hall, Gregg Cackett and Leon Greenwood, who is standing in for Arran Gulliver as he recovers from a hamstring tear, is only just getting their season under way after injuries within the team halted their progress in the early half of the season.
In Lillehammer, they were beaten by only the two German teams, who took gold and silver.

Elsewhere, it was an impressive debut for Marine Adam Baird who finished in 17th as he led the team of Alasdair Kay, Jens Hullah and Luka Williams in their first-ever World Cup race.
In the two-man race, RAF star Corporal John Stanbridge finished in 14th alongside Alexander Cartagena.
