The British Army Blades have retained their Inter Services Ice Hockey title in a closely contested match against the Royal Navy Destroyers.

The level of depth that was put on display gave spectators a match that was played on a knife edge, with the Army's Rory Ashmore being the sole goal scorer of the match in the third period.

The Royal Navy frustrated the reigning Inter Services champions for the majority of the game, but they were unable to score amid a strong Army defence.

The Army's win comes after they had defeated the RAF Aces in their first match 7-0.
