Defence BattleLab: Cutting-edge tech to push boundaries for Armed Forces

A hub designed to spark innovation and push the boundaries of technology used by the UK's Armed Forces has been officially opened in Dorset.

The mission of the Defence BattleLab is to use cutting-edge technology, bringing together military personnel, academic institutions and private sector companies.

At Wednesday's opening ceremony, Defence Procurement Minister Jeremy Quin said collaboration and innovation will serve as "the catalysts to maintaining advantage over our adversaries".

"The BattleLab will bring together the best talent and expertise in industry and push technology boundaries to equip our Armed Forces with the latest state-of-the-art kit," he added.
