Cricket: The autonomous copter that can clear a casualty from the battlefield

German firm Avilus has been showing off the Cricket, which it says is the world's first vertical take-off and landing medical evacuation drone for the battlefield.

It can provide tactical evacuation from casualty collection points, transfer patients between medical treatment facilities, deliver medical supplies or conduct selected special operations in high-risk areas. 

The Cricket, or Grille in German, has a top speed of 90kph and the patient's vital signs can be monitored on board and transmitted to waiting medics.
