Watch: Moment a Wagner Group mercenary appears to surrender to Ukrainian drone

Footage shared by Ukraine's Territorial Defense Forces appears to show the moment a Wagner Group mercenary surrenders to a Ukrainian drone.

In the aerial footage, a uniformed figure, who they report is from the Wagner Group, can be seen walking across grassy terrain with hands raised.

A tweet by the Ukraine Territorial Defense Forces describes how his unit had thrown him out of their trench, so he decided to follow the drone to the Ukrainian position to surrender. 

The tweet also questioned whether this was a first in warfare history.
