Ukrainian defenders to benefit from muddy frontline – ex-tank commander
Muddy battlefield conditions will prove difficult for armoured vehicle movement and could be advantageous to the defending Ukrainians, a former tank commander says.
Speaking to Forces News in the video above, former British Army tank commander Justin Crump says muddy ground conditions "offer some advantages" to the defending Ukrainian troops.
He said: "It slows the attack, it means attackers have less options, it's harder to get logistic supplies to the front and obviously that is much harder for the attacking side than the defender."

Warmer weather in Ukraine is creating ground conditions not suited to wheeled vehicles and conditions are expected to get even worse in the coming weeks, making things tricky for both Ukrainian and Russian forces.
