Ukraine: Why Odesa is significant

The southern Ukrainian city of Odesa may soon become a focal point of the country's conflict with Russia, according to a former Royal Navy commander and risk management expert.

Retired Rear Admiral Chris Parry told Forces News that the Black Sea port city has significant strategic importance – especially if the Russian plan to take Kyiv continues to fail.

He predicts that if the Russian invasion keeps stalling, President Putin may begin concentrating his efforts there.
