On the day Ukraine marks one year since the Russian invasion, Forces News has taken a look at the timeline of the key events over the past 12 months. 

The UK is pledging to send more military aid but the war continues to claim thousands of lives, has made millions of people refugees and reduced entire cities to rubble.

The King issued a message praising the "remarkable courage and resilience" of the people of Ukraine while Rishi Sunak was joined outside No 10 by his wife Akshata Murthy, Kyiv's ambassador to Britain Vadym Prystaiko and dozens of Ukrainian troops being trained by the UK for a minute's silence.
