Whether it's 'jackspeak' or just good old-fashioned slang the British Armed Forces have a whole language and military terminology unto themselves.

A lot of these historic phrases like 'chew the fat' and 'long shot' have entered everyday English, however much of these phrases might perplex the average 'civvy'.
