Chelsea Pensioners feel sense of 'personal loss' after Queen's death

Chelsea Pensioners have described the "shock" and "upset" they felt on hearing the news that Her Majesty The Queen had died.

A Drumhead service was held to pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth II at Royal Hospital Chelsea.

Not all pensioners had met the Queen personally, but they had been in her presence on military occasions.

Chelsea Pensioner Chaplain Reverend Steven Brookes says this has left them experiencing a level of "personal loss".

Among attendees were veterans who had served not only the Queen but her father, King George VI, too.
