HMS Collingwood Field Gun Run: HMS Heron Steal Victory From REME
HMS Collingwood have opened their doors for their annual open day.
Thousands of people attended the event, enjoying an entertainment-packed day sponsored by the Royal Marines Charity.
One of the main highlights of the day was the Field Gun Run, which saw teams from across the forces world compete to win the coveted Brickwood Trophy.

There were 18 teams competing on the day:

The crowds enjoyed 4 finals in the afternoon.
The winners of the plate 3 final, the soapy Watson trophy, were Maritime Reserves.
The first home in the plate 2 final were British Forces Cyprus to lift the sports lottery cup.
The plate 1 final was keenly contested with the Royal Engineers lifting the Portsmouth Jubilee Silver Cup.

Six teams lined up including the two favourites REME and Seahawks for the Royal Navy Royal Marines Charity field gun final all looking to be the champions to lift the Brickwoods trophy.
Once again, it was a close contest but the winners were HMS Heron in a time of 01:19.74 - pipping REME into second place by one-tenth of a second.
