The invisible battlefield: Are 'grey zone' attacks on the increase?

An expert has described the recent combination of different forms of 'grey zone' aggression being used against Ukraine as "quite remarkable" –  illustrating the damage possible without any armed violence.

Forces News has explored the 'grey zone' between war and peace, where covert tactics used by states, criminals and terrorist groups are used to deceive and gain influence.

China and Russia are seen as the most active aggressors, with North Korea and Iran also active to a lesser extent due to their lack of resources and connectedness to the West.
