Pelted with potatoes and petrol bombs, regiment gets riot ready

Pelted by petrol bombs and potatoes, soldiers from the Royal Anglian Regiment take part in a riot and crowd control exercise in readiness for deployment anywhere.

The riot is meant to look and feel as real as possible so trainees learn to cope with different scenarios that would make them agitated while containing trouble.

The exercise is designed to boost confidence for the Cyprus-based regiment and aims to make them ready to deploy in any type of public order situation.
